When we had Nougat.

I was still with Fox then. I couldn't get to take Nougat then. I had no car, and I had job obligations. He had his car, and free time. So he got to take her, but not out of the blue. We've never wanted to have a cat under 8 weeks old, even if it's twelve weeks, normally. But 8 weeks is really the least, with mother, or not, for the cat can adapt.

Nougat was at people he knew, me less. But the man threatened to have her killed by his dog, and he had done that with one of their own cats, in front of his children. A sick man. Really. So Fox went to take her.

We had Scully then already, one year and some, the princess at home so. And she's got a very strong character. She didn't accept Nougat at all. It's frequent (except with Truth when others came, but Truth is really "pacifist"). Nougat was skinny, and full of fleas, but to the point we could see dozens of them just by looking at her. So we closed the bathroom's door, to bath her (with a special shampoo), and then put her an anti-flea on. And Scully, as far as she didn't want her come, hearing the little cat crying, she literally jumped forcing the door.

After her treatment, I put Nougat in a towel, and nursed her for a while, and she fell asleep. She was so tiny. Scully took some weeks to accept her. The cats I have now, It's four days max, depending on the cat. But then, they became good friends. Nougat recovered good. She's three now. She's gonna be four on June, 16.


Fox almost loved only dogs when I met him. I had had lots varied animals myself. Mice, hamsters, sea pigs, a dog, furets, and cats. But I bond only with cats. So I wanted a cat so much. And it took him 5 years for that. And when we had Scully, he got so attached to her that now we're apart, he kept her. And he was okay to have more. Maybe he also ketp Scully because she was OUR real first cat, and it meant something to him. Not going into details, but I still wonder about him. Not going into him, but well, some things are weird. 


Many animals are great. I suppose all are great. It depends on the taste, and the life you live, and your character. I know I couldn't get some animals at home, like reptiles. Maybe not all of them, especially snakes. But I had one friend, who slept with his snake. I never went there unless he had him in his tank. For me it's cats. I'm "normal" I guess then. I don't dislike dogs. I had one, and he was a fantastic dog. Just he "needed" me. I was 7 only, but I felt that it wasn't an "equal" relationship. With cats, it is. They come to me because they want to, not because they need to. I like that.


Scully is fine too now. She's gonna be  five in may (15), wow. Such a long time : )
